AHA Board Chair Marc Boom, M.D., took the stage July 13 to introduce AHA award winners and a town hall discussion on navigating the 2026 political landscape. 

Moderator John Ashbrook, founding partner, Calvary, posed questions to panelists Stacey Hughes, AHA executive vice president of government relations and public policy; Chad Golder, AHA general counsel; and Ashley Thompson, AHA senior vice president of public policy analysis and development. Panelists gave insight into the midterm elections, increased scrutiny of the 340B Drug Pricing Program, healthcare issues the 120th Congress may take up and affordability concerns.
