American Hospital Association Names Pollack President, CEO

Rick Pollack will become the American Hospital Association’s 11th president and CEO in September, the association’s board of trustees announced at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting. A 32-year veteran of the AHA, he has served as executive vice president for advocacy and public policy, and previously as associate director for legislation, and vice president for federal relations and deputy director of the AHA Washington, D.C., office.

Before joining the AHA, Pollack was a legislative assistant to former Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., and then a lobbyist for the American Nurses Association.

He will succeed retiring president and CEO Richard J. Umbdenstock.
