2025 National Governance Report
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is pleased to release its 2025 National Governance Report to the field. The 2025 AHA Report is divided into three chapters, each released separately. The report, based on data collected from August to December 2024, continues to develop a comprehensive picture of the state of health care governance structures and practices across the country in areas including composition, performance oversight and selection. The AHA began producing national governance reports in 2005. To assist boards and executives in putting the survey results into perspective, AHA’s 2025 report includes commentary from several governance experts after each section of survey findings. The commentaries provide valuable interpretations of the data and trends identified in the report.
This resource is available free for AHA members and at a cost for nonmembers.
