Changes Abound on Trusteemag.com
While I can't in good conscience suggest that anyone spend a beautiful summer day staring at a computer or iPad, I would be remiss if I didn't alert you to exciting developments related to the magazine.
For the past few months, we have been working to make the Trustee home page (www.trusteemag.com) a livelier, more engaging destination for readers. First, our Quick Stats section features an interactive infographic using health care data from both the American Hospital Association and external partners. Each weekly infographic is linked to a recent Trustee story. In the coming weeks, the infographic will show statistics on board diversity and reductions in central line-associated bloodstream infections.
Beneath Quick Stats is Trustee Now, a home for the latest health care news and insights, specifically tailored to hospital and system board members. Trustee Now also houses our new weekly poll, which explores health care and governance issues, occasionally punctuated with lighter topics. You have to vote to see the results, so I hope you will weigh in.
In this issue, you’ll notice that the Trustee profile is back — and better than ever. We are relaunching this feature with a profile of Edward Hatcher, a longtime Grinnell (Iowa) Regional Medical Center board member with a delightful and sly sense of humor. We hope you enjoy it, and we welcome your suggestions for future subjects.
Finally, subscribers to Inside Trustee, our free e-newsletter, will begin receiving a second issue each month starting in August. Add yourself to the list here: www.trusteemag.com/subscribe.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you in September!
