AHA Virtual Trustee Advocacy Day

This virtual advocacy day training prepares trustees to become advocates and to have impactful interactions with lawmakers. Trustees will also gain knowledge and tools to make a difference through telling a compelling story, using facts to educate others and forging connections with local legislators.

Presenters

Thomas Cassady is a member of the Beacon Health System (Indiana and Michigan) Board of Trustees. He serves as Chair of the Finance committee and is a member of the Indiana Hospital Association Board of Trustees, as well as the AHAPAC Steering Committee. He shares his advocacy experience and offers insights to help trustees engage their elected officials.

Aimee Kuhlman is Vice President of Advocacy and Grassroots at the AHA. In addition to advocating the full range of AHA’s legislative and regulatory agenda, she leads the association’s advocacy on the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Prior to her work at the AHA, she spent 8 years on Capitol Hill, working as a health care staffer for Congressman Jim McCrery (R-LA) and Doctor Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
